Austrian Alps by Le Chique Diplomatique

This post will be a combination of two places I´ve visited, but they´re connected with one story.

If you follow me on Instagram you know, that we´ve enjoyed a beautiful skiing in the Austrian Alps before Christmas . Actually, we couldn´be in a better place than in mountain hotel Berghotel Rudolfshütte, surrounded by 22 imposing 3.000-meter peaks and numerous glaciers. Rooms were very cozy, food was delicious and even panoramatic sauna with stunning view of the Alps surrounding us made our vacation unforgettable. During our five day trip, we skied as much as we could, but of course the time for rest and was always reserved.

On the second day,the windstorm occured, so the ski lift as well as all slopes were closed. We found out about that all dressed up, with skies, ready for an adventure. However, when I came outside the wind blew me off on the ground. Fortunately, next days were amazing, so we´ve enjoyed great ski conditions without a necessity to avoid somebody else during a ride. The return to slovak ski resorts was then really tough.

On the way back home, we stopped for a while in Salzburg for the traditional and magical Christmas markets. I believe this city is just made for  it, all together with the snowy castle on the hill. Salzburg is inseperably connected with Mozart, so only there you can buy original Mozart balls with a silver-blue package. All that can be found just in three stores  and luckily I´ve been in one.

It was  so cold outside that even typical punch couldn’t warm us. At the end, we walked through the historical center, enjoyed the view of Salzburg and continued on our way back home.
