But the original story and atmosphere of each chocolate shop completely differ. The Trenčín´s one is located in a historic building on Mierovo Square and promises a pleasant experience at first glance.
The story of the chocolate is floating in the whole chocolaterie and is intertwined with the life of the owners – the Šprtko family. Jitka loved her chocolate from the very beginning and still is enjoying the time she spend with this delicacy. Despite the fact that she together with her husband Jozef lived in a capital city, Bratislava, after that also in Žilina for some time, the desire for having “something their own” and also for their hometown Trenčín made them deciding to swim into an unrecognized waters of gastronomy and open their own “something”. What else would it be if not chocolaterie?
The owners have found a beautiful place, but it used to be a dairy shop with refrigeration machines, so when they started the restoration, it was really challenging. However, the touch of a historic café was given to this place, exactly the way Trenčín deserves.
